Drivers Power Seat and power steering tilt problem

Not to mention my other post where a coolant line failed I also had a problem this weekend where the drivers seat will only move a mm or two any direction. Also the power tilt steering wheel will only move a couple of notches.

I read on this forum by doing a search that its a seat control unit. There is one for each side.

Some say they have pulled the battery cable and it fixed it. Others say they had to buy it to fix it.

My question is.. Has anyone ever discovered what failed? Is there a bad solder joint or bad resistor or something or does the part fail with a part thats not serviceable.

Anyways I'm going to try to reset everything. If that does not work I will take it apart and see if I can see something thats messed up.

Anyone else ever had this problem?

I appear to be having the same exact problem. Were you ever able to find a remedy to this problem?

Additionally, how much did it cost you to fix?

Thanks!
