New to fourm, not to X5s

Hello all, thought I’d join the board and share what ever information or knowledge I can. I have posted occasionally on the other board that lead to this one and have regularly read this board since its inception. I own a 2001 (11/00) 3.0i with all options, 75k miles. I have worked through most the common issues and have knowledge to share. My family and I love our X5. As well, I do my own repairs, even the more difficult ones. Not that we haven't taken it to the dealer while under warranty or would not now. Although, we are 100miles from the nearest dealer, and often the parts and troubleshooting is easier and cheaper than dealing with the dealer/gas/time.

Most importantly, I would like to thank the Ucrew and the other folks for assembling the reference. I have found recently the boards about X5's have become less active, maybe due to most the questions being answered. I feel in the future as these cars get older we will see more people needing help. I’m hoping I can provide some answers for folks and when time permits contribute to the wealth of knowledge here.

Jason

Welcome aboard. I tried to tell others on other boards, but they didn't like that so glad you found us!

BTW, 2001 X5 3.0i with 124K miles! Runs great!
