3.0d w/ chip performance

Hey,

We got a E53 X5 3.0d MY2006 in the family, output is about 218hp. It's performance is pretty weel though I was wondering if I add on a chip, what enhancements in the performance will I see?

i.e:- timing in 0-100km/h acceleration, consumption, top speed, etc.

Thanks,
Anmar

I have the same model you have and I'm considering of do'ing the same thing. The outcome is about 260Hp and 580Nm torque depending on the product with the chip alone.

I don't think the 0-100km/h time will improve considerably but from 80 to 160 km/h will because of the added torque.

Fuel consumption will be redused if you can manage to drive the same way as before but the joy of new power will reduse that benefit.

You say that improvements wont be noticeable from 0-100km/h and then you say from 80-160km/h there will be a change. If you did not type in the '80' as a mistake, then there should be a 0.5s difference or something.

Yes there is a difference in 0-100 time. The 80 to 160 km/h will improve more because of the power and torque curves. You won't get full power or torq on low revs.

try superchips.co.uk, the 3.0d becomes a rocket when they finish with it
