Radio Manual

I just purchased a 2002 X5 3.0 so I am a newbie to the site. I found the archived docs and threads indispensible so I am happy to join you all.

But my X only came with an owners manual for a 2005 model, so I downloaded the vintage-appropriate 2002 owners manual from our site. However, I still need to understand how to decipher all the buttons on the radio and CD player (don't laugh). The radio is a bit more involved than the one in my 2001 3-series wagon. So, I am trying to find a similar PDF or website where I can download or purchase a hard copy. Any suggestions? I would rather not go to the dealer and purchase their hard copy for $55!

Thanks in advance.

Easiest way is to go to www.bmwusa.com Set up an account with them (it used to be called Owner's Circle, I'm not clear if they still call it that. When you log in on the Account Overview page at the bottom of the left hand column will be a selection "Priority Email." Send them a note telling them what car you have and that you need all the appropriate manuals and they will send them to you.

Thanks for the tip. I emailed BMW after creating the account and received a quick response. Unfortunately, they didn't offer to send me "complimentary" copies. Instead, I was told I could pick up any manual from my local dealership.

I then decided to call BMW-NA directly and spoke to the guy who worked with me on my instrument cluster replacement (bad pixel issue). He ended up emailing me a PDF version of the manual!

Thanks so much for your help.

Glad it worked out in the end. That is a strange response from them. When I did it a while back they were able to e-mail me all the manuals I needed.
