Thanks for the replies. It is not exremely low mileage, but an '02 with 60k and full service history. It had the engine sound of a 3.0(at idle) which also impressed me, very quiet. I bought it just out of CPO and have replaced a few things like control arms and cv joints, adjusted camber and it's driving great.

for Mods I have bought a few things to install, but no big ticket items. I would like to add RB's and exhaust. Hopefully I get at least that far before trading it in for something faster

The 4.6is is a beast, stock...with the right mods, your X can be quite faster than even a modded 4.8is and more cost-effective than trading in for something faster. There are also more performance options than other X models ...just my .2cents.

Yeah I would not be trading it in for the 4.8is. I drove both and felt like the 4.6 had more torque. that and I really dislike the facelift.

To me, it's 330i fast. I think it should be M5 fast. Why make the top X5 model with less HP than an M5 and 1,000 pounds heaver?

Well...performance is ever-evolving, or at least should be. i for one prefer elevated seating but with horsepower and stoppability at my command ( )...the X5 & X6 ///M should likely satisfy any performance aficionado. However, can't say i dislike your taste in the 330i and ///M5
