Unhappy driver's side xenon not working!!!! help!!

need help!! my driver's side xenon (2003 x5 left hand drive) stopped working... i thought it was the bulb but when i exchanged the bulbs (driver's to passenger's) it worked.... what seems to be the problem? ballast? igniter? others? and i noticed that when i removed the two xenon bulbs then turned the headlight on with no bulbs, the passenger side unit made a flickering sound, but the driver's side don't... help!!!!

Probably the igniter has gone bad.

this is an aftermarket kit, right??

usually its either a component failure or more than likely a bad electrical connection.

check everything to make sure grounds, plugs, etc., are heated...

nope... these are oem ones.. but when i bought the car in 2003, the car came with ordinary halogens... i bought the original xenon kit (including the projector headlamps w/ auto leveling)... how would i know if it's the ballast, igniter, etc?

The flickering sound on the ballast is your clue that the ballast is good on the passenger side, replace the driver side with a new one....... e~
