BlueTooth for 4.8is

Ok, I know this has been done before, but for some reason I can't seem to find anything...

I just bought a 2005 Black on Black 4.8is and I can't seem to get the bluetooth to work... I don't even know where to begin.

I read somewhere to hold down the (guy talking) button for 3 seconds then put the power on the car (not start it) and keep holding it for another 3 or 4 seconds... Well that didn't work... So I'm lost.

Can anyone with a 4.8is please tell me how to get my bluetooth going?

Thanks

Michael

Yeah sorry, very vague and doesn't work. Anyone have an 05 4.8is and paired their bluetooth phone? What did you do to get it to work?

Make sure your mobile bluetooth is swtiched on

Hold button down for 3 secs, turn key to stage 2 (not releasing button) hold for another 10 sec. car should go into pairing mode.

on you r mobile search for devices.

should find BMW ****

enter pass key when prompted on your phone

you should be done and your car will bleeo at you

if not go back to your phone and tell it to connect to the BMW*** device.

Good luck, took me about 10 goes to get it right

1. Turn Key off and then to the on position

2. The vehicle is ready for pairing for the first 2 minutes of key on.

3. "Activate Telephone" appears on the MID or Board Monitor. During the pairing process, depending on equipment, the indicator lights on MID or Board Monitor display flash.

4. Your mobile phone should now be set to search for BT devices. See the Owner's Manual for your handset.

5. A request to enter a password, PIN, or code appears on the handset display, depending on your model. Enter the 'BLUETOOTH PASSKEY" (supplied with the vehicle literature), using the numerical keys on
the handset and confirm the input.

6. Look for a confirmation message on the handset.

7. To conclude the pairing process, turn the key off. Wait approximately 30 seconds before turning the key back on. The phone will now be connected when the key is turned on. It may take several minutes to initially load the phone book stored in the handset depending on the number of entries.
