window regulator
wow, just finished doing my passenger side rear window regulator. what an accomplishment. paid 220 for the part, i remember last time a indy shop charged me 380 for the whole job for the front passenger side window regulator, saved myself 160, woohoo. btw, took me about 2 hours. i want to thank this site for the fantastic DIY instructions, absolute life saver. although i am at about 120k miles, this car is still running strong and is a BEAST. it handles like no other suv and because its so heavy it makes driving in the rain and snow feel so safe. THANKS AGAIN XOUTPOST!

Congrats man....awesome you were able to DIY. I've had at least 3 regulators go over the 2 X5's we've had (our 2001 3.0 had 2 for sure, and one on our 2006 already). What a pain. Glad to see you were able to do your and fave a few bucks.
I believe there's a bit of a mod that strengthen this common failing part. Good luck! |
