I noticed in my x5 that even I set the air circulation the right hand button, which is the blocking of outside air, I still smell outside air especially when I am traveling from a traffic congested area(that is common in metro area). any suggestion on the possible remedy! Thanks in advance.

the micron filter was changed at my 90K Insp II, but check your manual - it is one of those items your nose tells you when to change, sorta like a baby's diaper

I inspected my microfilter and found out that the installed part is the ordinary one. On the parts list there are two kinds of microfilter, one is the standard which is just like a paper filter and the other one is filled with activated carbon filter. Luckily. the old microfilter was still in the storage, have it cleaned and tried and the result is very good. I ordered the second microfilter and it's almost two weeks now and there's no more smoke coming inside the car. Thanks guys for the tips.
