Worth every penny. Get it done. The line is rarely visible except close up, and it's not that difficult to avoid it when waxing or clean the line if you get wax in it by mistake. To me, the risk of unsightly paint chips is far worse than "the line".

I agree with Phil47. I had it done in June here in northern VA. I tried DIY and it was pretty ugly. Went the professional route, and it's great. Wax buildup is a minor problem compared to paint chips. Not cheap--I paid over $850 to have it done.

I have the clear film on my X5 and the line is not that visible unless you look upclose.

A must! Just got back from a road trip and took the Invisible Glass can and cleaned up the front from bugs in about 5 minutes. There was also some tar that just wiped off.

Do it.....
The thin line become unnoticeable. I paid $525 but the peice of mind know that everytime I am behind a dump truck that is hitting bumps, I am not getting a rash on the front end....it really was like my first mod that I did.

Am I missing something here, what is this film you talk about and where is it applied? Is this just a USA thing?

If this material is very good and better than automotive paint, IMO: why can't it be applied all throughout and be like a factory option ?
