Adding AUX line to 05 X5 with NAV...

Greetings,

Just bought a used 05 X5 with nav and a cd Changer, but want to add an AUX line into the car for a portable Sirius satellite radio. I have been told by adding the AUX line into the system I would lose the CD changer functionality. Is this true? What would you guys recommend me to do if I want to keep the CD Changer and add the AUX line into the center console. Also is there a kit to remove the tap player and replace it with anything useful?

Any help is appreciated.

have you got the panel in the air vents section for the rear passengers? there is a line in, line out, and a TV button

Cool

:xoutpost:

ashrafkh sent you in the right direction. You can keep your cd player with the BMW aux input adapter. You can purchase the kit at the dealer or even Ebay - $40

US models don't usually have this option: rear console with AV in/out

No, that's not possible, AUX is a 3.5mm audio female jack, no way to transfer that kind of info to the NAVI screen...
