New here, need help!!!!

I am new to this forum, I just bought a 2006 X5 , with the Nav with an old version, I want to upgrade to the v31, but can not find a working link or site to do the download, also the maps are from 2005, is there any way to download a newer maps version, cheaper than the NavTeq $199 2009 ver. ? I am having trouble pairing my bluetooth, the dealer it's supposed to order all the manuals for me, because there were missing, but in the mean time I want to set up my iPhone and don't have a clue how to do it, all the info found online make me more confused, please some help is appreciated. Thank you
