Questions about 4.8is's

Do all Canadian 4.8is models come standard with:

1.heated steering wheel
2.rear flares
3.adjustable rear seats (not sure how they adjust?)
4.extended rear cargo floor
5.rear sunshades
6.smoother soft nappa like leather
7.navi

I'm not up to speed on what comes standard in Canada vs. the US, but the 4.8is's in the US come with every single available "option." The only features that aren't considered options and aren't included are what I believe BMW refers to as "accessories" and they are the 1. heated steering wheel 2. retractable load floor and 3. tow hitch. Other than that the 4.8is's come with all the other options you mention. The rear seats recline ever so slightly, but more importantly, can be moved via the same switch to sit completely upright (100% vertical,) giving you more cargo room in the rear. One other thing to consider is that I don't believe they all come with rear, side air-bags but I could be mistaken. I'm under the impression that they are optional as well. I believe you also have the option of comfort seats for the front, or sport seats, and I'd recommend comfort seats (there are lots of of threads here about the differences, it's a matter of personal preference at the end of the day.) Happy hunting, the 4.8is is one nasty beast!

I'm pretty sure Navi and Rear side airbags were extra and not standard for the 4.8. I think the sliding load floor was extra (for '04 at least) then became standard later (Homepage shows its standard for 06 - typo?). Don't know if this is the same for Canada.

Yeah, I questioned that myself but not sure why its showing as standard on the homepage (2006 pricing/options link).

I bought a 2006 4.8is new from the dealer.

It came with:

1.heated steering wheel YES
2.rear flares YES
3.adjustable rear seats (not sure how they adjust?) NO
4.extended rear cargo floor NO
5.rear sunshades YES
6.smoother soft nappa like leather YES
7.navi YES

Other bits and pieces came with it: full air suspension (ride height adj),
black plastic and brushed metal running boards, Bluetooth, ski bag

thanks all, gives me a better idea when im searching for one.
i currently own a 2004 4.4. love it, but want the extra options, looks, power, pano roof, heated wheel, POWER HANDELING AND SOUND

John I'm pretty sure your rear seats are adjustable. When you open the trunk are there buttons on the pillars? Like these just above the red tail lights.
