Help with my 06 x5 New to site!

Hi guys i just bought white 06 x5 3.0i yesterday!! everything is great except few things

1) bluetooth (the phone is asking for passcode, but i dont have owners manual or nothing. is there anywhere i can find the passcode inside the car? the dealer is too far from my house)

2) navigation (i have mk3 version and i want to upgrade to latest version v32, which i dwld in this site with iso file. can i burn it into dvd+R with mode 1? cause my burning program automatically make it to mode 1.)

3) v32 (does this make view in 3d? cause mine only views 2d and it really look old compares to other japanese model navigations)

thank you guys!!!!!

No need to take out the spare wheel etc just undo the three 10mm plastic nuts that hold the plastic piece in place next to the cdplayer/sat nav etc lift this out and then you will see the bluetooth ulf module (silver rectangular box on the angle) next to the amp. This will have your paskey written on it.

if you use the Search function, you will likely get all the answer you are looking for. but ill try to answer you Qs.
1) try looking at Bluetooth - X5world
2) 06 with MK3? i have an 04 with MK4...
3) perspective/3d view started in V29 if im not mistaken, so yes, if you upgrade to V32 you should have the perspective/3d view. Navigation System - X5world

good luck...

here's a picture look under the red highlighted plastic section and you will find the ulf module wuth the passcode on it

also you should have a mk4 dvd nav with your model the v32 will give you 3d perspective with the latest disc but you will need a mk4 sat nav the mk3 is cd not dvd.

1. I don't recall having to find the pass-code sticker on my car. When I set up my iPhone I simply had to input it on both the Navi screen and iPhone. However, YMMV and I maybe totally thinking of a different car.

2. I agree an '06 with MK3? You may want to double check and make sure you have the MKIV. Pretty simple to do, except burn the ISO file to a CD-R. You don't need to use a DVD+R, burn it at 1x speed, and follow instructions as normal.

3. Perspective view was enabled around v28 or v29 as the previous poster said. However, it is not enabled by default. To enable it you have to do the following:
A. Press the 'Menu' button and then select Settings.
B. Once in the Settings menu press and hold the 'Menu' button for 10 seconds. The Settings menu will then change to a hidden settings area.
C. Scroll down until you see Perspective view, make sure it set to enabled.
D. Go back to the GPS Navigation area and change the display settings. Typically you will see, driving direction, pointing north, and now perspective should be one of the available features.

Further to x555a see attached below indicating what you are looking for after you remove that panel. Ensure pink/white plug is connected. Good luck.
