2 frozen left front calipers in 12 months

I replaced my left front caliper a year ago (frozen) along with the brake fluid. A year later, the new (reman) caliper is frozen. Seems odd that a one-year old caliper would freeze even if its a reman (A1Cardone). Is there anything else that would cause the caliper to freeze up? The other calipers are fine which leads me to believe its not the master cylinder. I'm going to replace the caliper again but am wondering if there could be another cause.

I went through two right side calipers in two months. I'm convinced it was installed wrong or something - the dealer replaced it under Extendd Maint. but could never expalin why it went bad so quickly. No help I know....

How do you know when the caliper is shot? I just did a brake job on my '06 X and noticed that the boot for the piston on the left front caliper is out. It's not secured to the bottom. Not sure how to put it back it. I tried with a fine blade screwdriver but couldn't.
