Replace orginal equipment tires
I have a 2004 X5 4.4 Sports package....Orginal equipment tires were Michelin 4X4 Diamaris. I am happy with the tires but after 40,000 miles it is time to replace. Do I replace with the same tire or what do you suggest...???

If money isn't a problem, it's the best you can buy.

Haven't tried the Diamaris yet. Mine came stock with the Bridgestone Turanza ER30 which I wouldn't recommend. There are a lot of opinions on this board so do a search. People have basically tried everything and you can get some good opinions. Personally, when mine are done I'm switching to the Diamaris and if I still don't like those then next time something else.

A couple of guys here me included have put on Yokohama's Advan ST's Yokohama / ADVAN. Found them quiet on the highway at speed and local roads, very good on wet roads. Most importantly they are wearing well (slowly), I check tyre pressure every week. See if you can adjust rear camber to minimum setting along with a wheel alighnment on whatever tyres you choose. Good luck.

Mine are turnanzas too, they wear fine BUT the damn rear camber feature means they wore on the insides by 33k miles, I reduced the camber, but the alignment place was afraid of taking it to 0, anyone done this yet, toyo proxes look ok to me too about 200euros a go for any europeans out there....

You're lucky I got 25,00 miles max out of the rears though by around 20,000 they were already crap due to the inner edges. I don't want to reduce camber b/c the car handles incredibly well and that's one reason I bought it. Fronts will probably last to 50,000 miles. They are not great rain tires but pretty good summer tires.
