Rear Subframe Bushes.

Whilst having my suspension kit installed, I asked about the rear subframe bushes. These apparently start falling to bits from around 40,000m and so I enquired about replacements. Polyurethane ones are currently in development but I was told mine were OK for now and could be uprated when the Poly ones become available.

I enquired about cost and was stunned to find they were £395 + vat per set of 4 to be supplied and installed at my independant with OEM parts. So I called my local BMW stealer and was quoted £549.50 LABOUR on the cheaper 4-Plus rate, PLUS £164.00 for the 4 bushes PLUS VAT!!! Almost double the cost with the same parts!

Think my indie has a job coming when the poly bushes appear.

X5Girl, xxx
