burned my headlights cleaning them, now what?

once a year I end up stupidly reminding myself not to get "intoxicated" and work on my cars lol.

my headlights on my 01 x5 had a haze on them so I decided yesterday after happy hour I'd do something about it. long story short, too much pressure and too little compound and I burned the passenger light.

at this point I'm wondering what my options are. I mean yeah, I could buy another used light that's still hazed off ebay for $200 or so, I could go super high dollar aftermarket or high dollar OEM replacement ($350/pair from what I've seen).

Or I could try something like these:
2001 2003 BMW x5 E 53 E53 Halo Rim LED Running Light Projector Black Headlight | eBay

I've searched on here under various terms and dont see much about these. All I care about is they dont look super stupid and have clear lenses and work properly at night. The thing that gets me is the wiring and I dont know if anything else is required.

I should probably say I dont have factory xenon lights. just regular halogens.

anyone know anyone who's tackled these things and whether they'll give me a dash light for headlights or not?

I have to admit, they do look good on the car in the ad.

Voted to ban. those look like garbage.

Just get the Depo's for $350 as they are the only good aftermarket option available nowadays and will plug right in with your factory halogens, enjoy the upgraded look to your X5 and you have learned an expensive mistake.

Friends don't let friends mod drunk.

You guys are HARSH! But I agree. Those look horrible.

Explain how you 'burned' them? If you just got a bit aggressive with the sandpaper or polisher, you should be able to smooth out the 'burn'. If you went *through* the plastic.. then yeah. You're screwed.

There are some pretty decent non-OE lights out there for pre-facelift E53's. You have yet to post them.

00 03 BMW E53 x5 Angel Eye Projector Headlights Black | eBay

These are the only aftermarkets looking decent nowadays since the Spyder lights went out of production.

Dude, youre fine. you dont need new headlights.

Get some sand paper 800, 1500, 3000 and work on it some. or just get the 3m headlight resto kit which has all those.

Get whatever you want. Its your X.

As long as you don't put a hole in the lens, just work on it some more.

are these the same lights everyone else is referring to above? they say DEPO in the auction listing but also say helix so does it mean it could be either brand?

these are plug and play for me? nothing else to do? just pull my old lights out and put these in? and what the hell is a remote-on harness? I dont have to install a stupid switch in my dash to get these to turn on do I?

oh and when I break things I break them right. I didnt just blur up the lense I straight up took a hunk of plastic out. it was sorta cracked in the bottom corner and when it heated up it just took it off..
