Question: Exhaust Cam Position Sensor
I pulled the CPS sensor (as part of a VANOS diy) and I noticed that there is oil / gunk around the electrical component / connection. See attached pic. This seems wrong to me. Is this normal? I am thinking I should clean it...suggestions as to what to use?

That's not normal at all. You should clean it but you also need to find the source of the oil. The CPS could be cracked. If the oil came from a seal leak it wouldn't be inside the connector.
