4.8i Replica Wheels on Ebay

Here's a set on Ebay for $995 + $200 shipping. Anyone has experiences with this outfit?

He just got them fairly recently. He's been selling the chrome ones on Ebay for sometime and I asked him about the sliver ones about a 1.5 months ago and he said they are coming. Sure enough, here they are. He did raise his shipping to $200 from $125 and I don't know why?? here is the link to the original auction:

If anyone has any experience of how durable the finish is, please let us know. He told me they have a lifetime fittment warranty and he didn't elaborate on "fittment" much when I asked him. I'm sure they will fit ok however, will they stay straight? maintain the original sliver finish for years? Who knows ...

I see that shipping charges on ebayers are going up and up. I guessed it's a way to get around ebay's high commision charges...lower the price tag on an item and make it up with the shipping charges since ebay does not make commision on shippings

But factoring in everything...$1200 bucks for the 4.8 rims are not that bad...it's still about 1/3 of the OEM price.

i agree why will you pay an arm and leg for the real ones if you can buy them cheaper with the same quality i guess? those stealership always on the rob mode!

i bet you that the quality is ok but not as good as the OEM, a big factor why the OEM cost so much is do to the weight, the replica weight a lot more they are not made with of the same materials. and weight at the wheel is a big factor for performance.........

Just give him some time and he will have to lower his prices. Most replica's on Ebay go for $650 - $800 and shipping is no more tha $100 for wheels only. Because the wheels are new, he is trying to maximize the profit. Give him time and keep watching. I still wonder about the quality of these wheels and the service of this outfit?

Plus ...they do not weigh that much more...so..it really is not a big deal. The main reason the factory wheels cost so much is they say BMW on them...instead of BWM...
