BM53 missing

Hello, I am new to the forum, I have been reading the threads for some time
and learned a lot. I got my 2006 x5 3.0 about a month now, the CD player was not working so I decided to get the Dice silverline Ipod intergration from EAS, there was no power going to the CD changer so i opened the access under the spare tire in the trunk and found that my BM53 module was missing , could I get any BM53 module or do I need one that can work with my car?. I need some advice..

I could be mistaken but I thought BM53 is the radio in the front dash?

Here's a quote drom another post:

"As far as I know, the non-nav BMW's don't have a radio module in the back. It's in the dash. There is an amp in the left rear storage compartment, though."

Do you have navigation?

yes I do have navigation, the cd changer is connected to the module under the spare tire, thank you for your response.
