Question ...main dashboard light flickering

Gents...can anyone help me with this problem.
For some time now the background light in the main/center dashboard is flickering and now during the night time is off... I checked the settings and there is nothing wrong there. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this?

The information regarding consumption, temp, clock..etc on the monitor is working but only the backround light is off now.I cant see the information during night time due to the lack of background light.

i have a X5 2002 4.4i

mis-understanding, you are reffering to the MID control panel. swap it out with a different one, and if it works, it is bad, they are about $700-900

How did i know my help was not going to be useful.
Maybe somebody in Sharjah knows and can read your head.

If I post a suggestion, your next comeback may be I have the widescreen, not the 4.3.

I apologize that I don't have the patience of Twinspoppa or some of the other members.

HINT: Homepage.
