What can I look forward to when buying a 2006 4.8is?

I currently own an Audi Allroad and I'm seriously considering a 2006 4.8is which is CPO'd.

I've had numerous M3's in the past and really enjoyed working on them, especially routine maintenance. My old BMW dealer is pushing me to buy the maintenance program for $2,100. They quote $1,900 for a full brake job (all 4), which I find laughable, after looking at some of the vendors' prices on the forum.

I'd like to know what you all have done regarding your routine care and what other issues I should be looking out for after my purchase?

Thanks for your time and expertise

Do a thread search. This has been discussed 50 times in the past 2 weeks. Also your dealer is ripping you off for the maintenance plan; also do a thread search..there is a deal for X5 world members only that cannot be beat.

Thanks for the heads-up on the maintenance pricing.

I tried doing searches every which way and came up empty

I'm no rocket scientist, but did you try ... 'maintenance pricing' as your search. That's probably what I'd try.

My guess is that you'll come up with 35 threads in about 0.20 sec.

You overpaid. Should have used the information I provided on the board.
