Cargo Cover broke

Hey Everyone,

My 4.8is didn't come with a cargo cover so I ordered one off ebay for $130+30ship. It arrived and I installed it. To my dismay, after I pull it out, it would not retract. Is there a way to fix this? Or is this unit trash and I have to buy another? I already opened up a paypal dispute so we'll see if I get my $130 back.

LOL, I bought the right one of course.



I heard some rattling inside when I took it back out and a small plastic piece fell out.

The unit isn't damaged on the outside, but seems like internally its broken. I opened it up on both ends but it did not seem like it could serviced.

Just wanted to make sure you got the right style. There was an older one and in the new style you need to make sure you get the right one depending on whether you have adjustable rear seatbacks or not. If it's busted you have to deal with ebay, I don't believe it can be repaired easily.

My other question is, are these prone to breaking under normal use? I have a similar cover in my mcoupe and its never given me any problems.

Dang JT sorry to hear about your problem but ... were you the one that was asking opinions about an X and I mentioned to make sure they give you a cargo cover because it was kinda costly and not shown in the pics ... I hope that wasn't you.

No, I wasn't asking about it, but yes, its pretty lame. The seller is offering 45% refund. What a joke. I'm taking it up with PayPal and hopefully I get 100% back for "item not as described"
