Did I break my shifter?
When I got to the shifter, I tried to twist it counter clockwise to "unscrew it" and think I broke it? yikes?!Its now turning loosely in a circle ![]() Did I just cost myself some additional dollers on a repair? |

you dont unscrew it, you just yank on it to pull it off. if it spins, you broke it.

The sifter and arm come as one piece. To get in out put it in drive, sit in the pack seat, reach forward and pull back. Just changed my shifter out yesterday

I think it is 90 pounds of pressure - I way 225 so I just pulled up while leaning back and it popped right off.

You shouldn't need the whole arm, most likely just the shifter knob itself. (the plastic release rod is part of it, the aluminum arm shouldn't be damaged)
