OK we're back...our new(ish) 2006 E53 X5!

Hi All,

Been posting a bit lately and lurking on the boards for the past few months as we got back into the wonderful E53 X5. About a month ago we picked up our second X5 (old 2002 Sienna Red 3.0 went back to the dealer in 2006) and couldn't be more excited to be back in the best SUV on the planet. I'll spare you all the details of our 3 month hunt and countless searches over BMWUSA and autotrader.com for just the right X5. We wanted a CPO 2006, Highland Green (believe it or not, it's freaking beautiful and we did not want a GREEN car!) on Beige with NAV. Not really tons of these floating around.

Anyway, we found the perfect X5 for us and love it to death. I'd love to get the mods going ASAP but we are also in the process of builing a house for the past 12 months so free time is exactly available....at all. I already got the OEM MP3 CD changer ($54,000 BMW and it comes with a tape deck!!!) and OEM rear seat covers (inexpensive ~$75 dollar ones in accessory book) and can feel the itch beginning. Seat covers are awesome, great fit and good finish against beige leather. Great for our dog who thinks she owns the X too. 20'' 87's are coming, I can feel it.

So hopefully we can add to the forum here and there in between laying 1800sq/ft of hard wood floors and working and working our normal 9-5's. X5World is spectacular and I'm so happy to be back.

Here are some pics of our old X5 and some crappy (sorry, no good ones yet) pics of our beautiful new one. Highland Green should be called "Slate-Grey with a hint of green under artificial light"!!!
