FedEx is picking the rods today. I think they are optical instrument mounting posts for industrial purposes. Really strage stuff.

Just curious: What'd you do with the parts you removed from your ride? Sold on eBay, sitting in your garage or .....? I'm trying to decide what to do with them once I have aluminum running boards installed tomorrow.
Thanks.
BTW, looks suh-weet!

You can install yourself...should not take too long. You can get these for about $500. The dealer probably charge labor of $200-$300. I did not elevate the car.

It is very easy and you dont need to elevate the car. the most difficult thing is taking off the old rivets. I drilled the old rivets at the center stem then pried the rivets out. I found it was easy to remove the rivets that way. After that, it is simple to install the board. You can check with autoshop to rent the rivet gun rather than buy one. Good luck with the installation.

Probably about 2 hours labor at $100/hr = $200. You do not need to elevate the car, buy a rivet gun and good luck.
