Question V710 with 1.40OR Firmware and BMW BT

Okay, now that Verizon has released 1.40OR Firmware and I have it downloaded to my V710 which BT module should I get to retrofit in my 2001 X5?

I know Parag had BT modules that you could retrofit to the 2001 X5.

Currently, I do know that the 2005 BT/Assist combo module does allow the V710 to not only pair up, but also have the address book transfer to the car.

Now, rumor has it that even the latest BT standalone module -522 will pair up with the V710, BUT it won't transfer the phone book. However, I haven't confirm this. Has anyone else research this issue.

Yes, I am aware of SuperDave's firmware, but since I have the 1.40OR firmware and it does fix alot of bugs on my V710, I would like to keep that firmware.

Thanks in advance.

From what I gather (and I could be wrong) from reading various stuff on the V710 forums at HowardForums, the new 1.40OR firmware is not that new, but is exactly the same as the firmware beta update in December. SuperDave's firmware is based on the OR firmware, and unless u spend a lot of time moving files to and from the TF card, I don't think it will help us much.

I have the -552 module, and I was under the impression that is the 1st BMW BT module. Regardless, my V710 works well enough with the -552. Every now and then it continuously connects and disconnects from the car, but a quick turn off/on of the phone solves those issues. I'd love to get the caller ID on the Nav screen and the phone book to transfer. I am not holding my breath, and will keep an eye on the HF and BF forums to see if anyone has any updates.
