X5 does not beep anymore when pressing Key

Does anyone know what maybe causing this problem? My car used to beep when i press the factory alarm and now it doesn't beep anymore?

That post is about a clifford alarm. I was talking about the factory keyless entry when u look or unlock it does a beep two times. Mines just doesn't do it anymore ?

My 02 X5 has the same issue. I think it is some relay that no longer works. This might be a part that would remedy the problem. BMW Door Chime Gong - Used for BMW E53 X5 3.0 3.0i:eBay Motors (item 370152254880 end time Jul-28-09 18:41:31 PDT)

Isn't this a key programming feature on the E53? Has the car had any programming, new battery etc, change of key fob etc...
