4.8is and Boat Towing
All my friends are running their mouth saying shit like "Towing a boat with a BMW, you out of your mind" etc. So can I hear any cases about towing boats with your 4.8is?  Thanks Michael

I don't think it'll be a problem. I just searched on tongue weight for a tow I may have to make and it seems you can put 600 lbs on the tongue, so your boat should put no more than 300 lbs on it and is 1/2 the towing limit.
Get new friends.

I've seen bigger and heavier boats towed with X5's, including my shop formans multiple fishing boats. It will tow it without a problem, just make sure you got the OEM hitch and wiring.

It can easily handle the load...i've towed similar weight with my 4.6is

Just found out ECS orders them from BMW (new jersery ) (the 2nd link) and charges about $80 for delivery. So the 2nd link is about the same, maybe cheaper.
