not sure what im looking for though.. i've been into getting a 4.6 kit but don't feel like paying the 1000 + for parts/paint/install.

wow.. hmm.. weasel, it will definately be unique but i think keeping the 87s silver looks better IMO..

I agree with mtX5. I think that all blacked out wheel will wash out your X. It'll be too black. The silver lip with black centers looks better but that look is getting a little played out. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks good but that look peaked a year or two ago.

Your silver 87s look great as is. They're a great contrast/compliment to the blacked out body and adds visual interest.

Which was my thoughts honestly, from the start... but it is good to see and confirm before I am tempted when it is time for new tires.

I think if the X was as slammed as low as Richirich's, then wheels like rasta's ferric 215's would look good with spacers. Other than that, I'm gonna stick with the OEM 87's in silver.

yeah drop it a bit.. because the 20's dont look like 20's- look a bit small

Nice X! very unique. I've been thinking of doing the same thing you did to the kidney grills and to the fog rings but wasn't sure how it would turn out...now I know they look great! Enjoy your ride and again, nice job...

mtX5- no need to photoshop the 4.6 body kit on to yours, there are already plenty of photos with Silver with the kit on this forum

weasel56- I personally think black rims is perfect for your black theme. And I think the silver border looks wicked with your tinted AE I'll post the other photochop version tonight. Most of your shots happen to have your wheels under the shadow. Send me one with direct / some sunlight. I did mine with a shot on a cloudy day which I think it's the best the purpose. And if I could only choose between lowering or spacers, I would choose to do the spacers first.

dolphin_4_u- I love your rims and was seriously considering it (still am!). And I think the blackout fog trims and kidney will work great on yours. Keep in mind that I only did the "rings" of the kindney (the chrome part) and keep the kidney grill in it's original color. I tried the all-black version and didn't like it. Good luck.

You could probably steal whichever pics you want from my X page (link in sig) and I could send a full sized version of any of them if needed. But honestly, I think I like the 87s better in the silver. I think if I ended up with black/dark grey rims they will either end up being 215s or the ones like rarebreedX5 recently got. (will most likely stay with the silver 87s for a while )

And if you still wanna photochop feel free! I kinda wonder how gloss black would look with the silver ring? (definately would want something glossy about the wheels)
