AUTO MIRRORS

Hello

Does anyone know if the wing mirrors can be made to close themselves automaticly when you lock the car?? they do it of the inside button know but it would be good if they worked of the key fob

If it were a regular 12 volt signal it would be too easy, but I believe all those switches communicate through lin bus... thus making it more difficult if not impossible.

Send a message to KiwiJochen. I bet he could probably program that using Navcoder. It would be cool to program them to auto-open as well just like in new BMW's where they open at 28 mph I believe.

Yep, this is possible and can be done by coding the key. Main dealer or independent with the software could do this. From recollection it's about £70. There are a list of 'things' the key can do - i'll post a link if I find it.

Farvs, I think your thinking about the auto fold down of the passengers side mirror for parking maneuvering, the one where it aims the mirror at the curb... He is asking about the fold in feature that has it's own separate button where the mirrors fold in against the body.

But I did forget about navcoder, and Meister is right that KiwiJochen is the guru of such things.

or you can buy a module from EAS i think that do exactly what you want... Wuzin has it on his X, search youtube...
