Used X5 warranty question.
If I buy a used X5 with under 50K and under 4 years old, is it still under warranty? Even if it was bought from another, non BMW dealer? Could I bring it to BMW dealer at say 49K and ask them to do everything they are allowed to do?
Thank you |

Be careful to check the "In Service Date", e.g. date car was delivered to orig. owner...that is the "time countdown"
for the 4 year period. Yes, theoretically, it is still within the oem warranty/maintenance period, though some BMW dlrs may be slow to respond. If you do buy it, try to get the key "run" by a BMW dealer first: all the BMW dlr service history will be recorded. Or, if not possible, and you buy it, get that key run for service history, asap. GL,mD PS: Extended Maintenance should be available for purchase, but Ext Maint is not an Ext Warranty...

Unless it's a totaled car then yes it's under warranty to 4 years or 50,000 miles as long as it' s a US X5.
