blowing AC fuse position 48

About a month or two ago the AC system shut down completely. Turned out the #48 fuse 7.5A had failed. I replaced it with one of the spares and hasn't happened again until today - blew again. This time I had no 7.5's left, so I stuck in a 10A fuse. No further issues.

Anyone heard of this or had it happen or know what could be causing this? Probably will be a hard thing to diagnose if it happens once every month or two..

My X5 is a 2003 4.6is
