need opinions

i have a black x5, and am totally jealous of members with silver 1s that paint their trim pieces to match

im thinking about painting the plastic pieces and flare fenders etc. gun metal or a dark dark grey to give it a 2 tone look

a part of me thinks this will look like garbage and the other part thinks it will look good if i do it right

what do you guys think?
has anyone done this before?
is my imagination getting the best of me?

Maybe this can give you an idea.

I repainted the car, and painted it all the way down in same color.. Also painted the side trim:

TaMbALoLoNg is an unknown quantity at this point
Why did you buy a Black X in the first place if you want a two tone look? Dark grey or gunmetal I think will look eerie.

I think you will have a problem with the paint chipping pretty easily if you paint the plastic parts. Most of the X's I have seen that this was done to had bad chipping issues on those painted parts.

I don't think it will look good in any other color but black.

thank you for the input this was exactly what i needed
i will not go with the 2 tone, after visualizing it and some basic photoshop i realized the car would look awful lol
i am still contemplating ekvals did, that would probably be my best bet

maybe i just need to go ahead and powder coat my wheels gunmetal

ill definitely keep everyone posted

again thanks!
