Anyone open up the area over the subwoof?
I noticed that in the rear of the X, to the right, the subwoofer is covered completely with a felt-covered piece and then there is about 1" of foam on the inside as well essentially killing the effect of the woofer.
Recently,I opened up the covered area and played with the stereo. It sounds much better to this old ear. I have thought of cutting the cover directly over the woofer and then finding a speaker cover large enough to cover the hole.
Has anyone done this and noticed a change for the better?
