ABS wheel sensor 4.6is

I have just done a DIY CV boot replacement front right side and broke the ABS sensor when I was removing it (stuck in very tight), so I bought a new sensor not a genuine BMW part after fitting sensor I have noticed that when I hit the brakes with a little force, it feels like ABS is kicking in every revolution of the wheel it happens only at slow speed and after a few miles the yellow lights all come on and brakes feel fine no glitches but no ABS. After restarting the light clear bur same thing happens again does anybody have any ideas on what may be causing this? Should I buy a genuine part from dealers hoping that this would solve the issue, never have any braking ABS problems before I did this! Thanks
