01 X5 4.4 (Fully Loaded with 120k) Would You?

It has been a while since I lost my X5 and its been a sad weep everytime I see one pass my by, I love this damn car so much. I was just wondering what would you guys think of me buying another 01 with 2 previous owners with 120k?

Do you guys think I should go for it or just save up and look towards an 03?

After test driving the car it seems to be in perfect exterior condition and as far as mechanical is concerned, test drove it for about 25 mins and it seems to be driving as good as my previous X was, they gave it a detail a while back so under the hood everything seems in tact and on the lift it all seems good, after I lost my X5 last year I always thought id end up in a 03 or something but here's my chance at an 01 for a decent price, what would you guys do?

How much and what color? If it's not black then absolutely not. Plus it's basically 11 years old.

If it has an FSH and the price reflects whatever has been done in terms of major maintenance (V-pan, chain guide, trans, etc) then it might be ok.

I was also thinking about picking up a 2000 with high mileage, mainly for winter driving.

Would I? It depends, what's the price.

For 120k i'd make service records a must.
But if your buget is flexable, save up for a facelift.

If you cant wrench it yourself,

I wouldn't buy it. You would be spending thousands a year on repairs if you drive it everyday. It's a fantastic car to drive but with a price.

So the 3.0i's are more reliable than the 4.4i's??
