Change radio country

Hi there,

I have just bought a BMW X5 (E53), 2002 model. The car is from Japan so I need to change the radio to operate with Australian radio frequencies, but I can't seem to find a way to get into the "hidden menu" which allows me to do this.

I've tried turning the radio on and then holding down "SELECT" until the radio serial number displays, but the screen only displays "PRES OFF" and won't go any further than that.

I've also tried going into the "SET" menu from the main display and holding down the "MENU" button, but that just goes back to the main display.

Anyone have any other ideas? I'd rather not take the car into the shop for something that I can fix myself!

PS - I did find this PDF: http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/pdf/BM...een%20info.pdf which indicates pressing the "INFO" button, going to "RDS" and then holding the push-button for 8 seconds. I'm yet to test it as the car is locked up the garage at the moment, but as far as I remember no menu with "RDS" appears when I press the info button.

Thanks,

David
