Broke trim pin - JBWeld it?

I was in process of removing the wood trim that goes above the glove box when I twisted (rather than pulled) the last one closest to the radio.

Has anyone had success in repairing one of these (vs buying a whole new trim piece since I dont think they are replacable)..?

I was thinking JB Weld (Metal to Metal version)...?

I actually sits pretty tight as is, but I'm maniacal about things being right so I thought I toss this one out for some feedback..
