Just for fun...

Took the X5, which I do love, shopping and then to fireworks with friends. Had it all loaded up. Been great since the day we got it! So we all go. Drive up in mountains. Park it. Watch fireworks. Everyone is now tires so all the windows start going up...

ANDDDDD the driver-side rear door just makes a grinding noise. Awesome. Spent last night in garage taking all that apart. And then looking how this thing works. So much metal... none of it in the right places. Why the cables go into plastic I don't know(intentional failure point?).

So new regulator is coming but something humorous had to come of it...

Thats why i keep my back windows up almost all the time because of this fear. It has happened to me before where just the back passenger side didn't come down. I had it checked out at a BMW spec indy, and the SA said that the infrequent use of the PW is a factor, i didnt buy it. Hope you had a happy 7/4 albeit window issue.

all you have to remember is not to slam the doors with the windows rolled down. thats what cracks the plastic piece that holds the glass
