Most traffic cops/ motorcycle are using laser and CHP is using it more and more. CHP primarily using KA band. They are using laser more because they can target a select vehicle amongst a pack of cars. I have seen them park behind bushes, walls, etc and they stand outside on the side of the road and pick you off at 3,000 feet or more before you even see them, then run to the car to give chase.

If you have an iphone check out the trapster app.

It's alright saying that you'll drive the limit but the problem is that many states use speeding tickets as an alternate tax to support their lame social programs. So you may not get stopped for speeding but the quota happy, armed tax collectors will find another reason to issue state revenue enhancement paperwork.

HIT REDLINE Laser Interceptor is by far the best.
Down Under In Australia I have it on my WRX and X5.
The WRX has a V1, Laser Intercepter, Radio Scanner and Veil. I travel over 1500Ks a week and YES I do speed. If I didnt I would be dead by now, from going off to sleep.
When you speed you stay awake and alert. (I havent had a car accident in over 25 years).
I have mounted my LIs on the X5 in the same place as you but used a wireless cheeta setup.
FYI Ive had what the call in the game a Jam To Gun with the X5 on a Laser UltraLite 2020. So it seems a good place to mount them.

I have 2 kids that still need me for many year to come, so I rather want to put all the chance on my side. Following speed limit allow you to see what happen around you, when you drive fast the reaction time is close to none, but just enough time to see there is nothing you can do.

I know there is plenty of people that drive slow in the fast lane and that can be very dangerous, I'm not a frustrated person but rather someone who lost 2 friends over the year... One died at 18, he was speeding and lost control of his car, this crash was particularly nasty, specially when I had to identify my best friend dead & dismember at the morgue. The other one was trying his new Carrera on the highway, he blew a tire at 250km/hr and brought innocent people with him. I mean he had a Carrera with 400$/ tire, anyway one thing for sure he will never do that mistake again.

I didn't want to throw any moral here, just share some though & common sense. If you think & care about the one you love, or simply think that you can take someone else live because of stupid behavior, this alone should trigger something positive in your brain. As always I suggest people to go on a race track and beat the heck out of your ride, that should please you ego and prevent you from getting ticket, otherwise you can spend your life hiding and running.

Have a good one.

here is an interesting site others may want to check out. I personally use and was a dealer for Escort laser diffusers: always had excellent feedback.
