Yeah it's a load of crap alright... There are screws and cushions that go on the hood. lemme check if i still have my invoice.

Just make sure it's strong tape.

It will not mount with tape as it does not contour exactly with the front of the hood. You MUST use the mounting hardware. If it's the 'official' BMW rock guard you may be able to get another set of hardware from a dealership.
