Help with replacement of HID bulb - X5 2003 E53

Hi,

X5 2003 3.0L
I followed the instructions in the X5 forum to remove the headlight assembly (without removing the bumper). For turn signals or high-beam bulbs, I see how these can be replaced by easily removing the bulb. For the low-beam HID Xenon bulb, how do I gain access to the bulb? There is an assembly for the HID, and I am not sure whether I should be unscrewing the assembly or if there is another method.

Please help.

- Aaron

There are three screws (two on the top on bottom) holding the big plastic cap on the HID assembly. You would have to take those three screws out, unhook the plastic clip holding the rubber seal leading to this cap, move the plastic cap off of the back of the HID assembly, unscrew a plastic ring and then take the bulb out.
