need info on replacement tires for Michelin Diamaris
Does this sound correct? what are options for tires, not inclduding Toyos which have a reputation of being noisy. Priorities are quiet and long tread life, don't care about aggressive handling or autobahn speeds. these diamaris are just now getting noisy at 44K. |

If you are looking for summer Ultra High Performance tires ... i would suggest Vredestein SUV Sessanta...( www. vredestein.com) perform better than Diamaris...and cheaper

thanks for the input.
since I have the sport package with the 19 inch wheels I guess any tires for the vehicle will be high performance, is that what you mean? As I said I'm not going to be driving 120+ mph. what I'm really wanting to know is what tires have others with sport package been buying whan the Diamaris wear out? I will check out the Vredsteins |

Nope, incorrect. Diamaris is still made and readily available. The 2 OE 19" tires are the Diamaris and Brigestone Turanza ER30. I'd avoid the Turanza's... they wear very fast. If you want to try something different from the Diamaris, do a thread search. People have tried a bunch of different tires to date with varied results and you can get some good advice.

Well, High Performance means better handling on a road and turns, maintaining soft ride ... some people here went from Diamaris to Vredestein's.. and they really like it... althrought Diamaris have V rating, but Vredesteins have Z rating , what means Vredesteins perform better even on a high speed. I'm personally using them on my M5, and waiting for the moment when my Diamaris will be worn out, so I can put Vredesteins on X.
I also had experience with Michelin Latitude HP- didnt like them, sold them... they are not bad in summer ( but a little bit heavier then diamaris) and on wet road, but they did not perform good even on light snow, not to mention ice. |

I put on Michelin latitude's after my Damaris wore out. I think the tires are phenomenal in dry or wet. But I have not had a chance to test them on snow. The tires are very quiet and handle awesome. As for tread wear I'm not sure because I've only put on about 1500km on them.

Latitude Tour HP is the best replacement for Diamaris. They are good on wet or dry and decent on snow too. So basically you get a summer tires that is also good for rain and winter months too. I replaced mine after the Diamaris wore out. Dont ever buy General Exclaim Grabber UHP. Those sucks. The threads are too aggressive that makes noise and will develope cupping.

Just got these tire myself and they are great. Look good, good ride, and handle great. But if you are getting 44,000 miles out of tires, then handling probably won't matter to you.

I have sport too and replaced with Latitude Tour HP too
Very nice so far. I got them from Sam's Club.
I originally went with the Bridgestone runflat. They were very heavy and I thought they were noisy too. Sams let me replace them with the Latitude Tour HPs (plus cost diff). My noise was actually from a bad wheel bearing, so I don't know if the Bridgestones were noisy or not. (give props to Sams Club for no questions asked return on tires) I know the Latitude Tour HP ride better than the Bridgestone RF as far as easy city type driving.
