Skiboats - The rings really are that hard to put in. If you follow the DIY on the from page it shouldn't take you more than an hour. Too bad you weren't a little closer or I would have given you a hand putting them in. I bought the rings from ebay seller GoodStuff4U, which is where I got my chrome rings and silver faces. I have used his products on several other cars and the fitment is great.

As for all the nice comments - I am just trying to do my part to help fellow X5 owners. I can't tell you the countless $$$ your help has provided me through the past few years. I usually don't post much, but when I do you guys have been great..

Below are a picture of my gauges

yeah, that looks sweet! I have a newly installed titanium dash too. Looks great. Will look up goodstuff4u seller and see what he has left. Thanks for the info! Maybe I'll be giving my chrome ones away!

Not really that hard to read in the day and they look really cool at night - it makes the needles really glow

I read somewhere in one of the posts that you should Sharpie the needles red while you have the cluster open. Would you recommend?

I chose not to Sharpie the needles just incase I ever wanted to take the silver faces off. I will try to snap some pictures at night once I get the X5 back from having a new transmission installed
