It's plug-n-play and can be reused if the "Brake" light hasn't come on and you are careful with the removal. There is one on the front left and one on the right rear.

There are two sensors, mine were one in front on the driver side and one in back passenger side. You get them from the dealer, an easy swap with the old ones. There's a DIY article HERE that's as complete as you could ever ask for

You can also get them from www.bavauto.com. They cost about $15 each. I can usually use mine one more time before changing.

I just changed out the OEM pads with Axxis pads. If you are careful in removing the two sensors, they can be re-used on the Axxis pads. Plug & Play.

front or rear when light comes on
Hi
How do you know if it is the front or rear when the brake light check light comes on? I looked at my master cylinder resivor and didn't notice the level low, is the front and rear resivor in the same plastic case? Cheers, Kevin Phoenix

I understand the sensor part. I figured the 2-celled master cyl resevor would indicate by having less brake fluid, which axle needs the pads. Maybe there is not a seperate fluid resivor for each axle? My dealer said they did the rears under warrenty about 3 months ago, I looked at them and they look thin, but that was before I bought fronts. Fun fun Kevin Phoenix
