Where in the engine is this part?

Hi All,

The attached image refers.

I have pipe "B" shown on the attached image loose in my engine bay. I know it's this one as I've traced it back and it meets up at point "C" on the image as it should.

I just don't know where point "A" is in the engine so I can pop the hose back on.

Anyone have any idea where I should be looking?

2002 e53 X5 3.0d.
