Clunking sound before shifting when cold

Any ideas why my rebuilt tranny has been making some weird grinding sounds right before shifting, only when the engine is below normal operating temps? Shifts fine other then that. Only 10,000 on rebuilt tranny. Has been doing this since rebuild. It's an 01 4.4.

Weird. Ok I thought it was just mine. It's more of a whine before shifting when the tranny's cold... I don't think it's serious cause I put 20,000 km on it so far. It's just sounds really harsh untill it warms up.
