How long will the OBC unlock stay active?

I want to monitor my voltage while driving so I have two choices right now. Hook up my old Beltronics RX45 or whatver it is (has a volmeter built in) or use the OBC unlock method. I'd prefer to use the OBC, but I don't want to have to unlock it every time I get in the car. Before I get my lazy butt off the couch and try it myself... will it stay on every time I start the car, or will I have to unlock it every time?

Thanks.

It will stay unlocked but you will have to enter the menu sequence (hold button down, etc.) every time you restart the car to get the test that you want. A low washer fluid message or any other messaging that comes up will kick you out of the test function you are in as well.
